About the add/drop period:
The add/drop period of courses in KAIST used to be held during the first two weeks after the semester started, but starting from this Spring semester of 2015, school moved it one week earlier, which means that the period starts one week before the semester, and ends one week after that. With this change taken place, students in KAIST now have less time to try and decide the subjects for their semester. |

About Advanced Major policy:
Starting from 2015, undergraduate students will have to complete more major credits in order to graduate. This policy, called "in-depth education", aims to improve school competitiveness. However, the new policy significantly increases the workload for students, so you might now find them not very happy about it. |
